Journal

Hello Everyone

Was wondering how people are getting on with there Journals!?!

I find it very difficult to find the motivation to write every night, for me i have been trying to write in the evenings, but i think i will try writing mid-day to see if i can keep a more consistent journal.

I am going to try recording my Journal in different styles, as mentioned in the Handbook and i will Blog about the success and the failures soon!

Thanks to everyone who has commented so far i am constantly improving and reflecting on my Profile and Blog layout to make it the best i can!

  1. Hi Heather,

The journal is a personal thing. I don;t tend to do it daily. I tend to make notes when I am in, or just after, an event or situation I want to make notes on. Try different things, find the way that works for you.

  2. Hi Heather,

For me it depends what's happening. This morning I woke up to an email regarding an on going situation, so I've 'journalled' about my thoughts on how best to progress with the situation. However yesterday I noted down things that I wanted to achieve at my various appointments throughout the day, and then reflected on whether that had happened.

I wrote a post about downloading an app both on my macbook and my iphone and I've found that useful. Take a look.

On a separate note, I thought it might be helpful if everyone added the 'subscribe via email' option to their blog? You can find this in the 'layout' section of your blogger clicking on 'add a gadget' (I've put mine above my profile) and then choosing the 'subscribe via email' gadget. I thought this could save us all time as rather than checking everyday to see what's new, we would get an email telling us someone has a new blog topic. Just a thought! I'm going to post this to everyone.

    Take care

  3. Hi Heather,

The way I have been doing it is like Alan, I will just write down my thoughts as and when they come into my head. If I left it to the end of the day I would probably forget!

And Megan, after you commented about the 'subscribe via email' on my blog also, I have tried and managed it on yours but not everyones.. For example, I could not see where to do it on Heather's blog. I don't know if perhaps I am looking in the wrong place? Or maybe just can't see for looking?!

  4. Hi Amy

People need to add it as a gadget to their own blogs in order for it to be available for us to subscribe to. Have a look at my most recent blog post for more of my thoughts...

    1. Hi Heather

Not a problem! Glad to have been able to help. I'm finding it much easier to keep up with everything now. It's all there ready and waiting when I am!

  6. Hi Megan,
I tried the first few days of writing my journal in my own style but am now exploring the styles suggested and am finding ways to write that suit me better. I haven't stuck to a specific time, I write whenever an idea or event happens. This way I feel it's less of a chore I have to do. Are you writing yours via computer or paper?

  7. Hi I'm using my computer. It working quite well for me. I just know I'd leave my notebook lying around somewhere and lose it/risk other people reading it! At least on my computer/phone I can lock it away - plus I'm never going to lose them!
