Hello Everyone
Was wondering how people are getting on with there Journals!?!
I find it very difficult to find the motivation to write every night, for me i have been trying to write in the evenings, but i think i will try writing mid-day to see if i can keep a more consistent journal.
I am going to try recording my Journal in different styles, as mentioned in the Handbook and i will Blog about the success and the failures soon!
Thanks to everyone who has commented so far i am constantly improving and reflecting on my Profile and Blog layout to make it the best i can!

Hi Heather,
ReplyDeleteThe journal is a personal thing. I don;t tend to do it daily. I tend to make notes when I am in, or just after, an event or situation I want to make notes on. Try different things, find the way that works for you.
Hi Heather,
ReplyDeleteFor me it depends what's happening. This morning I woke up to an email regarding an on going situation, so I've 'journalled' about my thoughts on how best to progress with the situation. However yesterday I noted down things that I wanted to achieve at my various appointments throughout the day, and then reflected on whether that had happened.
I wrote a post about downloading an app both on my macbook and my iphone and I've found that useful. Take a look.
On a separate note, I thought it might be helpful if everyone added the 'subscribe via email' option to their blog? You can find this in the 'layout' section of your blogger clicking on 'add a gadget' (I've put mine above my profile) and then choosing the 'subscribe via email' gadget. I thought this could save us all time as rather than checking everyday to see what's new, we would get an email telling us someone has a new blog topic. Just a thought! I'm going to post this to everyone.
Take care
Megan
Hi Heather,
ReplyDeleteThe way I have been doing it is like Alan, I will just write down my thoughts as and when they come into my head. If I left it to the end of the day I would probably forget!
And Megan, after you commented about the 'subscribe via email' on my blog also, I have tried and managed it on yours but not everyones.. For example, I could not see where to do it on Heather's blog. I don't know if perhaps I am looking in the wrong place? Or maybe just can't see for looking?!

Hi Amy
ReplyDeletePeople need to add it as a gadget to their own blogs in order for it to be available for us to subscribe to. Have a look at my most recent blog post for more of my thoughts...

Hi Megan
ReplyDeleteThanks for your help, i have now added the subscribe via Email. I have also downloaded a free RSS application, i don't know if it is the correct thing yet but fingers crossed!
Thank You

Hi Heather
DeleteNot a problem! Glad to have been able to help. I'm finding it much easier to keep up with everything now. It's all there ready and waiting when I am!
Megan
Hi Megan,
ReplyDeleteI tried the first few days of writing my journal in my own style but am now exploring the styles suggested and am finding ways to write that suit me better. I haven't stuck to a specific time, I write whenever an idea or event happens. This way I feel it's less of a chore I have to do. Are you writing yours via computer or paper?

Hi I'm using my computer. It working quite well for me. I just know I'd leave my notebook lying around somewhere and lose it/risk other people reading it! At least on my computer/phone I can lock it away - plus I'm never going to lose them!
