MY CV

Hello Everyone

So i have taken my CV off as i had done the first task correctly after all! To clarify it is to re-write your CV to create your 'about me' section then looking at others, correcting and then improving your own.

  1. Hi Heather, me again haha! I think you are right, the task is to write your professional profile using your CV. I uploaded my two CV'S because I wasn't sure what to include in my professional profile..do I just talk about dance? or do I talk about my normal jobs as well? so then I decided to try and intertwine them both but not go on too much! 3. Hi Heather,

Really good CV very descriptive. One thing I say is remember blogging is open to the public so be careful writing your personal details e.g phone number etc :) (I nearly did it then at the last minute deleted it)

You've got a real good balance of performing experience but also teaching experience. A lot of people when applying for teaching work only write down relevant stuff to do with teaching experience however past theatre experience is just as important. It shows you have inactive and confidence which is always needed when working with children.

    Well done :)

  5. Hey
    Great informative CV.
You now have me confused as I didn't realise that we have to upload our CV's? I thought that all we had to do was to rewrite it in our 'About me' section improving the quality and check out other people's and comment on the good within our blogs and on comments, helping to improve our own?

  6. Hi Heather,

    Good job.

You decided to pitch your profile in an informal style e.g. '...I then went on to do a bit of dance teacher work...' which fine, but what impact do you think that has with the reader? Fine for a friend, but a future employer?

Because you have been generous in commenting, you are finding people are commenting to you. Hopefully, as you tackle the next tasks the feedback will keep coming and help you as much as the recent comments have.

It is essential to develop your network, and you have made as good a start as any, and more than most people. Get tackling the tasks, as people will comment.

    Well done.

  7. Hi Heather,

I see you deleted you CV and you explain its because of you only needed to write your about me, however I question whether keeping your CV up and looking at how the you CV benefited your 'About me Section' would be a good way to show your progress? ....

Silly question but where is 'about me' section? I think I have done it right but then I constantly question to if I am on the right track on this course.

  10. Hi Beth,

The reason that i have taken my CV off, is because i only put it on as i got confused about the task set. I understand that it is a great opportunity to share and improve our CVs but i remembered that these blogs are open for anyone to see and i wish to send my CV directly to people who may wish to see it as i am constantly improving it and alter it depending on what Job etc. I used my CV to create my about me section, however i have improved it mainly from feedback off others and by looking at other peoples Blogs, rather than keep referring to my CV. :-)

Chiara thanks for your comment, look forward to seeing your Blogs

  11. Alan, thanks for your comment!

Now you have said that it has made me want to rephrase that part of my profile as i agree that it doesn't come across very professionally for a future employer.
